FEATURES

A closer look
at your writing.

Track counts and targets
See total character counts and counts excluding spaces or line breaks. Set a character target and follow your progress on the meter.
Count mora for lyrics
Lyrics mode shows mora counts for each line, with an option for how small vowels are counted. It works with hiragana and katakana; kanji readings are not converted automatically.
Choose a writing mode
Switch between Japanese prose, lyrics, social posts (X), YouTube descriptions and general writing. Check average sentence length, kanji ratio and long-sentence indicators.
Keep track of revisions
Take a snapshot to compare counts with an earlier draft. Three temporary storage slots let you set text aside and insert it back at the cursor.

QUICK START

Start writing.

  1. Open TALLY and type or paste your text. Use OPEN or drag and drop to import a text file.
  2. Choose a writing mode, then edit while checking character or mora counts.
  3. Export your text as a TXT file to keep a copy.

Your text is not sent to a server. Browser storage is specific to your device and browser, and clearing browsing data removes it. Export important drafts as files too.
